The Role
As a Packet Core Engineer at Dipole Group, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network infrastructures for our clients. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of ICT and Telecom networks, aligning with our commitment to delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and optimize 4G EPC (MME, SGW, PGW, HSS, PCRF) and 5G Core(AMF, SMF, UPF, AUSF, NRF, NSSF, PCF, UDM).
Support VoLTE/IMS integration, roaming, and interconnect services.
Perform capacity planning, performance monitoring, and fault management for core elements.
Troubleshoot and resolve signaling, bearer, and session management issues.
Collaborate with RAN, Transport, Security, and OSS/BSS teams for end-to-end service delivery.
Implement and test network slicing, QoS policies, and edge computing use cases.
Ensure compliance with 3GPP standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
Work with vendors on upgrades, patches, and integration of new features.
Automate repetitive tasks (using Python/Shell/Ansible) to improve operational efficiency.
Produce detailed HLD/LLD, MOPs, and technical documentation for deployments.
Required Skills & Experience:
Strong understanding of mobile core architectures (EPC and 5GC).
Hands-on experience with vendors such as Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, Cisco, Mavenir or open-source core platforms.
Expertise in Diameter, GTP, HTTP/2, SCTP, SIP, DNS, and TLS protocols.
Solid knowledge of VoLTE, VoWiFi, IMS, and interworking with legacy CS systems.
Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, NFV, and cloud-native core deployments.
Experience with Linux, IP networking, firewalls, and routing protocols.
Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases for subscriber data management.
Scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, Ansible).
Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Wireshark, Splunk).
Experience in documenting functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Experience working in agile and hybrid project environments, with knowledge of Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
