About the role

Technical Product Manager (TPM) is critical in bridging business strategy and technical execution by defining product vision, creating roadmaps, translating user needs into technical requirements, and collaborating with engineering and other cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle. The TPM achieves this through collaborating with cross functional stakeholders, monitoring technology and vertical specific trends, defining and prioritising product features, assessing technical risks, and ensuring product quality and alignment with company goals. TPM focuses on providing leadership and guidance, acting as a subject matter expert, and advocating for the product’s vision.

What you'll do

- Converting prioritised feature requests into detailed designs for engineering team to implement
- Supporting product vision and strategy, considering market trends, customer needs, and business goals
- Collaborating with stakeholders, the product owner, customers, and development teams to gather requirements and recommend prioritisation based on business value, feasibility, and technical constraints.
- Develop and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the timeline, milestones, and features of the product, ensuring alignment with the overall product strategy as defined by CPO
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering teams, product designers, marketing, and sales, to ensure effective coordination throughout the product development lifecycle
- Conducting market and competitive analysis by monitoring market trends, competitors, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities, anticipate market changes, and make informed product recommendations.

Who you are

The TPM is critical in ensuring that the product delivers maximum value for Bright Star's customers which leads to higher customer satisfaction, retention and growth.

You will have a proven track record in software development and system architecture, coupled with a strong understanding of the entire product development lifecycle—from UX/UI design and prototyping to MVP (Minimum Viable Product) delivery. You will be experienced in market research, competitive analysis, and data-driven decision-making to inform product direction and adept at communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are skilled in critical decision-making and conflict resolution throughout the product development process.

We understand that not everyone may meet every aspect listed in our job postings. If you are passionate about this role and believe you have the skills and drive to succeed, we encourage you to apply. We value diverse experiences and perspectives, and we are committed to building an inclusive and supportive workplace. Your unique background and talents could be just what we need to grow and innovate together.

Please note that you must have valid and permanent working rights in Australia or New Zealand to be considered. Applicants without appropriate working rights will not be considered.
