Our client is a leading alternative asset management firm that provides wholesale investors direct access to a diversified range of institutional grade alternative assets.

Due to significant growth in size and scope of the business, recently surpassing $5 billion AUM, a new Middle Office Manager position has opened within the business. The MO Manager will be working closely with industry-leading Fund Managers, gaining exposure to global alternative asset markets, and working in a dynamic and high-performing team.

The ideal candidate will come from an alternative asset fund accounting/registry/investor relations background, with proven organisational and management skills, and strong understanding of financial products and salesforce.

Please note that our client is exclusively considering candidates with full and restricted working rights. As such, this role is not applicable to those on Working Holiday Visas or student visas.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in administering all aspects of the platform via online administration tools.

- Ensuring all Capital Markets and Funds Management transactions are processed accurately through the Platform.

- Liaise closely with Capital Markets team on all upcoming deals to understand their structure, assist with marketing materials and deal set-up on the platform.

- Understand and document the entire lifecycle of each deal from execution stage to repayment/rollover.

- Ensure that Operations team have all deal calculations and diarised deal events (eg. Capital calls, distributions, maturity dates) in their workflow from execution date of each deal.

- Perform regular calculations and checks on incoming and outgoing payments/prices across all clients.

- After each deal settlement, verify the accuracy and completeness of each deal set-up.

- Be across all operational aspects of the business and ensure the business meets all operational requirements.

- Contribute to the ongoing improvement and streamlining of processes especially with regards to salesforce and platforms functionality.

- Liaise with Funds Management on the allocation across the Funds suite.

- Liaise with Capital Markets to monitor returns of capital by the capital raisers and instruct Operations Team for principal disbursement.

- Manage new deal settlements.

- Proactively manage the settlement of all deals when due.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

- 5+ years’ prior experience across unlisted fund operations roles, such as fund accounting, unit registry, and client services.

- Significant understanding of financial products and the financial landscape, particularly of unlisted assets.

- Prior experience using Salesforce, though not mandatory, would be highly preferable.

- Be tech savvy and comfortable with online business tools – a passion for tech solutions will be highly regarded given their platform is custom-developed.

- Have good attention to detail and accountability for your work.

- Show a history of building collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- Be adaptable to emerging and shifting priorities.

- Have a great attitude and be a team player.
