Overview John Therry Catholic College is a Catholic co-educational school situated in Rosemeadow in the city of Campbelltown and part of the Diocese of Wollongong. The College provides a wide curriculum to approximately 1057 students with a focus on academic success and a range of sporting, cultural and extracurricular opportunities. The College motto is Recta Sapere – (to know what is right). A permanent full time position commencing 27 January 2026. The successful applicant will be required to lead a team of teachers to meet the pastoral and well-being needs of a year group. The role of Middle Leader exists to support the principal in implementing the vision and mission of the school, to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students and assist the school leadership team in the conduct and organisation of the school. Responsibilities - Lead a team of teachers to meet the pastoral and well-being needs of a year group. - Support the principal in implementing the school’s vision and mission. - Assist in promoting growth in faith and improvement in student learning. - Contribute to the conduct and organisation of the school as part of the leadership team. - Utilise data to discern individual student needs and identify appropriate support. - Mentor and collaborate with staff to foster a positive learning culture with high expectations, including differentiated learning to meet holistic student needs. - Promote and embed the school’s values in pastoral programs and practices. - Address student wellbeing and manage contemporary approaches to student well-being. General capabilities - Well-developed interpersonal skills. - Well-developed oral and written communication skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Strong administrative and organisational skills. Qualifications - Appropriate qualifications for teaching. - Appropriate additional qualifications or experience in a relevant area. - Level C Accreditation aligned with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Wollongong policy or a commitment to gain within the first contractual period. - NESA Accreditation at Proficient Teacher level or above.
