Remuneration: $77,183.80 - $82,329.39 per annum pro rata + superannuation + salary sacrifice + mobile phone/allowance
The Events Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of key organisational events, conferences and workshops, including but not limited to the annual WA ACCHS State Sector Conference, Youth Conference, Members Planning Day and key program area events, including AHCWA/'s involvement in external forums and expos.
This position will undertake concept and event planning, managing event budgets, sourcing venues and suppliers, and act as the first point of contact for all enquiries relating to key organisational events.

About You
We/'re looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating and planning large-scale events such as conferences and workshops, ideally for a community organisation (200+ participants).
- Strong time management skills with the ability to effectively plan, organise, and coordinate own workload.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with clients and external stakeholders, managers and employees at all levels and present a professional image.
- Highly developed written communication skills including the ability to write clearly and concisely, prepare written reports and manage the output of quality information.
- Ability to multi-task, and maintain composure under pressure in a fast-paced environment, while meeting strict deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to uphold the principles of cultural safety including an ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Ideally, in addition to be above, we are looking for someone who identifies as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and is acknowledged as such by their community.
Please note: In addition to the above skills and experience, the successful candidate will require an unrestricted WA “C” Class Driver/'s Licence, and be required to submit a National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months) prior to appointment. Applicants for this position must be legally entitled to work in Australia and will be required to provide evidence of this entitlement, such as an Australian passport or birth certificate.
The position involves working within a multicultural organisation where the majority of employees, clients and stakeholders identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. Candidates must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
