The IJM Australia Advancement Office was established in 2014 to fuel IJM’s global mission by mobilising Australians’ resources and influence to protect people living in poverty from violence.## **The Need**For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50% and 85% in specific caseworks and jurisdictions. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, the role of Marketing and Communications is critical to engaging with our community and helping us broaden our awareness and impact into the wider Australian landscape.***This position is based in Sydney - Australia, Hybrid, and reports to Manager. Marketing & Communications***## **Job Brief:**The Events & Marketing Communications (MarComms) Coordinator supports IJM Australia with the design, logistics and implementation of Events and MarComms initiatives across multiple channels to achieve set out purposes, targets and goals in line with IJM Australia’s strategy and objectives according to brand standards. As part of the MarComms team and reporting to the Manager of Marketing & Communications, this role also collaborates with the partnerships and advocacy teams to meet various marketing, events and communication needs. IJM Australia regularly hosts Survivor Leaders, Program specialists and policy experts to build connections, influence policy changes, and convey the impact of our partners’ investment in IJM around the world. The MarComms team plays a crucial role in publicising and communicating this work and the person in this role is responsible for ensuring these visits and the events associated with them are delivered in a manner that is aligned with our values, especially our value of “Professional”.## **Roles and Responsibilities:**Event Management & Coordination* Plan, coordinate, and deliver IJM Australia's events with excellence - including advocacy gatherings, donor and corporate partnership events, webinars, church events, prayer or mass gatherings, and other key engagements.* Coordinate IJM Australia’s brand presence at conferences and external engagements, supporting the Engagement team to ensure messaging, materials, and representation align with organisational objectives.* Prepare detailed speaker briefs to ensure speakers are well-informed and supported, and support guest and speaker logistics as required.* Manage event timelines and budgets.* Partner with the MarComms team to design the full attendee journey, including pre-event promotion, on-the-day experience, and post-event follow-up (e.g. communications, surveys, engagement strategies).* Oversee the development and management of event marketing collateral and resources, ensuring materials are effective, user-friendly, and replicable for future events.* Support IJM Australia's Influencer strategy by coordinating logistics and collaborating with influencers on campaign ideas and execution.Marketing & Communications* Manage the creation of merchandise items as required, collaborating with Creative Marcomms function, identifying suppliers and overseeing production and distribution.* Support digital content creation for events and initiatives across website, email, and social media.* Contribute to writing and editing special communications (e.g., magazines, event materials, donor communications).* As required adapt global content from the field for Australian audiences to report on donor impact.* Research, edit, and contextualise communications collateral sourced from IJM’s global channels for local relevance and impact.* Proactively connect, cultivate and maintain relationships with MarComms counterparts in other IJM Regions, Country Offices, and at Global Resources, to facilitate efficiencies, sharing and collaboration.Data, Reporting & Evaluation* Work closely with the Manager of Marketing & Communications and Business Intelligence teams to improve tracking, analysis, and reporting of events and MarComms initiatives.* Use data and insights to evaluate the effectiveness of events and communications, and to optimise supporter attraction, retention, and engagement.Team, Organisational Support & Other* Support broader MarComms projects and business-as-usual activities, including project management tasks as required.* Develop, track and maintain marketing assets and toolkits for use across the organisation.* Support practical needs such as packing and fulfilment for campaigns (e.g., Gifts of Freedom orders).* Actively participate in MarComms team and organisation-wide meetings, contributing to strategy development and planning.* Participate in IJM’s community of spiritual formation.# ## **Requirements:*** Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Events Management, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.* 1-2 years professional experience within relevant discipline or experience in event management (preferred).* Excellent organisational and project coordination skills, with a proven track record of managing multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.* Experience coordinating events with attention to detail and supporter experience.* Experience in use of CRM and Marketing technology (e.g. Salesforce, Marketing Cloud) desirable.* Proven ability to write and edit engaging marketing content across digital and print channels.* Proven track record in building and managing relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.## **Critical Qualities*** Capacity to learn and problem solve quickly, self-motivated and adaptable.* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and platforms.* Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, including working collaboratively across teams.* Eager commitment to IJM’s Core Values: Christian, Professional and Bridge-Building.## **Application Process:**Click to submit your Resume/CV and Cover Letter in one document not later than **15 October 2025**.*Remarks: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.**IJM holds strict safeguarding principles and a zero tolerance to violations of the Safeguarding Policy, Protection against Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment Policy, and Code of Ethics.
