The Opportunity

Deliver strategic communications that inspire giving and social change

- Flexible part‑time role (0.6 – 0.8 FTE), hybrid and flexible hours

- 12‑month contract (parental leave) to begin in January 2026, likelihood of extension

The Communications & Marketing Senior Coordinator plays a pivotal role in advancing Australian Communities Foundation’s communications and marketing strategy, with a strong focus on expanding the organisation’s reach. Working closely with the Communications & Marketing Lead, you’ll help drive the evolution of our marketing approach to better connect with and grow our diverse community of givers. From newsletters and digital campaigns to website content and brand storytelling, you’ll play a key role in engaging our giving community, attracting new supporters, and amplifying our impact.

You’ll be part of a collaborative team with clear strategic priorities and a commitment to wellbeing. While this is a 12‑month contract, there is potential for extension based on organisational needs.

About You

You’re a marketing and communications professional with demonstrated experience in the field. You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a collaborative approach, while also being confident working independently. You’re skilled in editing and proofreading, managing email campaigns, and maintaining website content. Experience in media engagement, social media management, event coordination, or digital marketing evaluation is a plus. A background in the for‑purpose sector, philanthropy, or professional services will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate regular communications

- Lead email communications and website updates; tailor messaging for audiences

- Write engaging stories and articles to inspire giving and highlight impact; uphold brand and quality standards

- Coordinate campaigns, publications and strategic projects

- Coordinate marketing campaigns to attract new clients and activate giving, with a focus on digital test‑and‑learn approaches

- Lead project coordination for key publications (e.g., annual impact report) and support strategic communications initiatives (e.g., ACF’s flagship Impact Fund)

- Manage communications tools

- Manage mailing lists, email templates, SEO, and website UX; improve internal processes and streamline coordination

- Proofread and support internal and client communications, maintaining high standards and brand alignment

- Provide communications advice, support events and social media, and represent ACF at sector events as required
