Educational Background

- A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Business, Urban Planning, or a related field (Master’s or higher preferred).

Professional Recognition

- Full Chartered Membership (or Fellow) status with respected Environment and Sustainability-related Professional Bodies (e.g., IEMA/ISEP, CIWEM, ICE, RICS), with active involvement in professional networks.

- Commitment to continuous professional development in topics like sustainable development, certifications (e.g., LEED, MOSTADAM), corporate sustainability frameworks (e.g., GRI, TC/NFD, CSRD), and sustainable finance.

- Strong support for the development of emerging talent is highly valued.

Delivery Leadership

- At least 15 years of post-graduate experience, with a minimum of five years in a leadership role delivering corporate sustainability services, including sustainability and climate action strategies, implementation, performance management, and reporting.

- A comprehensive understanding of the evolving ESG landscape and its associated frameworks is essential.

- Proven examples of supporting clients in future-proofing their organizations.

- Ability to shape delivery strategy, monitor project progress, and ensure that business and client expectations are met.

- Capable of effectively communicating findings and recommendations or engaging with senior leadership in both industry and government sectors.

Sectoral Experience

- Experience in various sectors is welcomed, particularly in consulting for built environment sectors (e.g., land development, infrastructure, energy and power, advanced facilities like pharmaceuticals and data centers, and transport).

- Preference for candidates with experience in well-established organizations, including publicly listed companies or those with annual turnovers exceeding $1bn USD, sustainability leaders in their sectors, or emerging organizations where the candidate played a key role in implementing sustainability systems aligned with best practices, particularly in relevant sectors.

Portfolio Growth and Management

- Development of a strategic plan aligned with organizational growth objectives, tailored to market trends, regional needs, and client demands.

- High client trust and recognition as the ‘go-to’ person for significant organizational changes.

- Ability to shape individual projects in collaboration with clients and deliver unique, competitive solutions.

- Measurable outcomes connected to both new and repeat business.

Leadership and Management

- Providing clear guidance to individuals or teams, ensuring alignment with corporate culture and business objectives.

- Demonstrating a commitment to the professional development of team members and meeting their individual needs.

- Direct management accountability, including experience in utilization and performance management, is highly valued.
