We are seeking a client-facing
**Climate Science Adviser** to join our client’s Governance Risk Advisory offering based in Sydney. Working closely within a small team, this role will be responsible for assisting the firm’s clients with compliance for mandatory climate reporting obligations, including emissions measurement, scenario planning and financial impacts of climate change. This role has responsibilities across all Australian centres and will play a key collaboration role across the partnership.
**Key Roles and Responsibilities**
- Assist clients of the Governance Risk Advisory offering to comply with mandatory climate reporting obligations, including emissions measurement, scenario planning and financial impacts of climate change; and
- Assist clients of the firm generally on climate related ESG matters and energy transition matters:
- Carry out climate risk due diligence for projects and acquisitions.
- Advising clients on emissions measurement including scope 3 assessments.
**About You**
You will possess an undergraduate or post-graduate science degree with knowledge and experience in climate impact analysis, ecosystem models and/or biodiversity analysis and modelling.
In addition to at least 5 years post-qualification relevant experience in climate advisory, you will bring exceptional project management and time management skills. It goes without saying that to engage with some of the biggest clients in each of their respective sectors requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, including influencing stakeholders at varying levels.
You will demonstrate astute analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to make sound judgment and decisions and offer innovative solutions.
