As the Permanent Full time Accountant at Oyster Care Foundation, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements and be able to provide financial information and interpret the implications for business performance. The Financial accountant is responsible for budget preparation and for delivering long term profit forecasts and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities :

Preparing tax statements, financial statements, and BAS statements at required intervals

Creating and returning statements and documents to clients by set deadlines

Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other regulatory bodies when required

Preparing business income tax returns and statements for audits

Assisting in business planning & preparation of client reports including presentations.

Regularly reviewing systems and making updates and improvements where necessary

Engaging regularly with clients and maintaining strong relationships

Identifying areas where clients and businesses can reduce tax, make claims and increase profit

Possessing strong knowledge of tax law and statutory regulations

Understanding the financial landscape and market trends in the accounting industry

Assisting Senior Partner with client meetings and preparation of meeting agenda.

Preparation of business plans, cashflow forecasts, budgets and tax planning reports.

Handle customer enquires remotely, and action required client enquires with the team.

Preparing and delivering proposals and realizing business development plans

Measure client work scope in accounting CRM to avoid redundancies

Managing client groups and all compliance responsibilities.

Assisting managers with client handing

Ensuring the accuracy of financial reports and their adherence to statutory requirements.

Person specification Qualifications:

1 -3 years' of Professional Accounting Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience

Direct client interaction experience is highly desirable

Excellent knowledge of Australian Tax legislation

Xero/ Quickbooks / Karbon and Microsoft Office suite

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
