Position

This casual position requires a minimum commitment of two days per week, with the potential for up to four days. The role involves delivering high-quality individual tuition to students ranging from beginner to advanced pre-tertiary levels. This position is suitable for a qualified, experienced, and collaborative professional violin/viola tutor. While experience in beginner group instruction and/or string ensemble direction is not a requirement, expertise in these areas would also be of interest. Previous applicants for similar positions are encouraged to reapply.

Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality individual tuition to students from beginner to advanced pre-tertiary levels.

- Collaborate with staff on curriculum development and pedagogical innovation.

- Contribute to the Performing Arts program's broader activities as appropriate.

Qualifications and Skills

- Qualified, experienced violin/viola tutor.

- Strong pedagogical and curriculum development skills; innovative and contemporary approach to teaching.

- Ability to work collaboratively in the education of young women.

- Experience in beginner group instruction and/or string ensemble direction is desirable but not required.

Start date: Monday, 19 January 2026; End date: Friday, 4 December 2026.
