ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently searching for a dedicated and motivated Sous Chef to join our close-knit team on afull-time basisat our venue, Breakers Country Club, located in Wamberal, NSW

As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day kitchen operation whilst ensuring the highest safety standards and high-quality meals are prepared for our customers to ensure we continue to create memorable guest experiences.

More specifically, your duties will include but are not limited to:

- Supervision of staff engaged across Kitchen operations both Front and Back of House, including training and development

- Coordination of rosters to ensure operational needs are met

- Ensure continuous improvement of our service delivery

- Attend and manage any staff complaints and customer complains

- Ensure compliance of hygiene standards as set out within the HACCP standards

- Ensure high customer services standards are always maintained

- Monitor stock levels and complete appropriate rotation of stock

- Assist with planning of menus

ABOUT YOU

To be successful for this role, you should ideally have the following:

- Previous experience working in and leading in a high-volume kitchen

- Hold a Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery

- Hold a current Food Handling and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate

- Outstanding communication skills

- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

- Well organised and have a strong customer focus

- Availability to work a flexible roster which may include days, nights, weekends and public holidays
