Senior Director, Strategy, Architecture and Governance Full-time Temporary Details: The Chief Information Officer Branch (CIOB) works in partnership with JACS business units, the Chief Digital Officer, Digital Data and Technology Solutions (DDTS) and other ACT Government Directorates to facilitate and deliver digital, data and IT strategies and solutions for JACS. CIOB leads development and implementation of the Directorate’s ICT Strategic Plan across the strategic domains of Enterprise Architecture and Governance, Cyber Security and Risk Advisory and ICT Portfolio Management of systems. The Senior Director – Strategy, Architecture and Governance, supports the JACS Chief Information Officer (CIO) in development and implementation of the JACS ICT Strategic Plan, through productive collaboration with business units to develop and maintain ICT investment pipelines and roadmaps at a business unit and directorate level, and the provision of strategic advice for changes to the ICT landscape to ensure business needs are supported and ICT investment maximised. The Senior Director ensures appropriate architectures and controls are adopted that drive improvements and mitigate risk in line with the ACT Government Protective Security Framework, the ACT Government Cyber Security Policy and ACT Government Vulnerability Management Standard and where appropriate consolidates systems, services, programs and projects across the JACS portfolio of systems. Eligibility/Other requirements: - AGSVA security clearance or ability to obtain a security clearance. - Relevant industry or tertiary qualifications with 10 years’ experience in the management and governance of an ICT portfolio of systems, IT Architecture, Information security and cyber is highly desirable. - To be eligible for permanent or temporary employment within the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid work visa. - If an officer no longer holds a visa that permits them to work in Australia, their employment with the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) will be terminated. - Driver’s licence is required. - This position does not require a pre-employment medical - This position does not require a Working with Vulnerable People Check. Notes: This is a temporary position available from 20 October 2025 until 26 June 2026 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months. An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. This position is in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers do not have a designated workstation/desk.
