The Role
Your primary purpose as the Safety & Wellbeing Advisor, is to implement the Rheem Australia Pty Ltd (RAPL) Safety & Wellbeing Framework and Strategic Plan across the Rydalmere site. This role encompasses embedding a safety and well-being culture, contributing to management systems, leading projects, fostering continuous improvement, building organisational capability, and supporting the broader safety agenda.
While primarily focused on Rheem Rydalmere Operations & Logistics, you will also assist other departments in NSW as directed.
You will actively contribute to and learn from the Rheem S&W team environment, demonstrating visible leadership and self-drive without constant supervision.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have :
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS or equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training, or professional development accreditation.
- Experience in WHS (Advisor, Business Partner, or Coordinator level).
- Ability to collaborate across departments and engage with various stakeholders through influencing and negotiating, listening and leadership.
- Ability to think systematically and to connect day to day issues with strategic outcomes
- Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or high-risk industry workplaces.
- Proficient in prioritising and time management with implementing safety and wellbeing programs.
- Knowledge of State WHS and Workers Compensation regulations and codes of practice.
- Strong written and verbal communication with critical thinking.
- Some experience or exposure to internal and external safety auditing.
- High level of self-motivation, time management, and organisational ability.
- Energetic, pragmatic, and determined with openness and consideration for new approaches and diverse opinions.
Ideal but not essential :
- Experience with online safety reporting and data analytic systems.
- Completed Return to Work Coordinator training.
