Overview

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Full Time Head Chef to join the PLG team at The Peninsula Club in Dromana. You’ll lead a talented team, and set the kitchen standard for our venue. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment we want to hear from you

Located on Gibson Street, just one street back from the Dromana Pier, The Peninsula Club operates seven days a week from 9am. With an expanded TAB, outdoor decks, two bars and great staff, the Peninsula Club offers the ideal location for lunch with friends or family.

Responsibilities

- Prepare, cook and serve food ensuring a high level of quality and presentation at all times.

- Develop menus, specials and functions.

- Manage food purchases, menu costings and monthly stocktakes.

- Oversee the appropriate receiving, storage, and rotation of food.

- Food safety auditing compliance including food safety logbook, temperature checks and all other regulatory requirements.

Requirements

- Hold a Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).

- Previous experience in a similar role.

- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage kitchen staff effectively.

- Demonstrated high-level customer service skills in a variety of hospitality offerings.

- Proficiency in budgeting and controlling food costs.

- Understanding of current Food Safety Legislation.

- Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

- Full working rights in Australia.
