Melbourne, Australia Accpa Full time

The Communications and Corporate Affairs (CCA) Group builds and leverages media and strategic stakeholder relationships to improve awareness and understanding of ASIC’s mandate and outcomes. It manages external, digital and internal communications, and delivers ASIC’s consumer education and Moneysmart.

This role sits in the Corporate Affairs team in the CCA Group, which is accountable for consumer communications, including Moneysmart, corporate reporting, events and communications, and CCA’s strategy.

From 2025, ASIC’s Moneysmart program, which was accessed by more than 11 million Australians last year, will start delivering a new ongoing program to ensure Australians have easy access to independent, reliable information on superannuation and retirement through new consumer education campaigns, content and tools.

The role

As a Campaign Lead you will be accountable for:

1. Leading the advertising strategy from conception to delivery for a new multi-year consumer education campaign to boost Australians’ engagement with superannuation and retirement planning.
2. Leveraging market research to guide the strategic direction of impactful advertising campaigns and content.
3. Developing and managing campaign planning cycles, including end-to-end above- and below-the-line campaign related activities.
4. Providing high-level expert advice and support on campaign development to the Head of Corporate Affairs and Chief Communications Officer.
5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure full integration through below-the-line and earned media activities.
6. Developing and delivering effective and efficient consumer education advertising campaigns that comply with the relevant guidelines.
7. Being able to respond to and implement changing priorities quickly, identifying and communicating issues and making decisions with a focus on achieving key advertising outcomes.
8. Ensuring competing priorities are delivered to a high standard, bringing energy and drive to progressing work with a commitment to getting the job done.

About you

1. Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications or public relations.
2. At least 7-10 years of experience working for listed corporate or consumer brands or large government agencies. Prior experience delivering large scale government advertising campaigns is highly desirable (but not essential).
3. Demonstrated excellent written verbal, analytical and presentation skills designed to influence decisions.
4. Experience working in a large and agile organisation in a regulated industry.
5. Expertise in bringing brands to life through storytelling.
6. Executive-level communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
7. Experience managing and developing high performing teams by driving clear direction and leaning into coaching and development opportunities.

About ASIC

ASIC's remit is one of the broadest of regulators across the world. ASIC regulates corporations, markets, financial services and consumer credit and monitors and promotes market integrity and consumer protection in the Australian financial system.

Through Moneysmart, we aim to improve the skills and knowledge of Australians and provide information and tools to help them in their decision making.

A future with ASIC means that your work will contribute to achieving ASIC's vision for a fair, strong, and efficient financial system for all Australians.

ASIC is committed to providing a diverse and inclusive workplace where the very best talent in Australia chooses to work. Indigenous Australians are encouraged to apply as well as applicants from all backgrounds and with different abilities.

Applications for this role will close at 11:59pm on 13 February 2025.
