
Market Intelligence Specialist

This position is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive market intelligence strategies for both domestic and export markets, ensuring accurate and timely insights to support strategic business decisions.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and actively manage and monitor market research programs to identify market trends, competitor activities, and customers trends in domestic and export markets.
- Ensure all relevant market data is promptly collected, assessed, and analysed.
- Ensure (where appropriate) external market reports and data are assessed prior to use in strategic planning.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external market research providers to facilitate robust data collection and analysis.
- Develop and implement appropriate market intelligence systems, processes, and documentation to ensure best practice processes and strategic compliance.
- Ensure internal teams are advised of key market insights and their implications for business strategy.
- Schedule, monitor, and present market intelligence findings to leadership.
- Identify opportunities for market growth and competitive advantage in consultation with sales and marketing leaders.
- Coordinate all activities associated with market data acquisition and analysis.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive market intelligence records in applicable databases.
- Provide education and support to leaders in leveraging market intelligence for decision-making.
- Develop, propose, and, where appropriate, implement new market analysis methodologies and tools.
- Maintain accurate records of market trends and competitive landscapes.
- Provide training, guidance, tools, and assistance to relevant internal teams on market intelligence best practices.
- Contribute, as part of relevant cross-functional teams, to key business strategic plans and activities.
- Actively support and work within the business development team to identify new market opportunities and implement growth strategies.
- Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, processes, and work instructions at all times.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Relevant qualifications in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- Advanced market research and data analysis skills.
- Significant practical experience in market intelligence, business analysis, or strategic planning.
- An ability to assess complex market data to ensure timely and actionable insights.
- A demonstrated understanding of market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and customer trends in relevant industries.
- High level organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in market intelligence platforms and data visualization tools.
