The Role
The Program Coordinator – Student Engagement and Wellbeing plays a pivotal role in leading the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) for Engagement and Wellbeing across the school. This dynamic and strategic position requires a proactive, hands‑on leader who works collaboratively with the Student Engagement and Wellbeing team and the Executive Team to implement programs and initiatives that uphold and promote the school’s core values.
The successful applicant should havecultural responsiveness, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage difficult conversations with compassion and empathy. They will ideally be an effective communicator and a motivational leader, capable of building and sustaining a highly effective team culture.
Key responsibilities
- Leading the development, implementation and evaluation of wellbeing and engagement strategies within a multi-tiered framework.
- Managing a team to monitor and report on student attendance, behaviour, social/emotional wellbeing, educational engagement and Students at Educational Risk (SAER).
- Analysing student data to design and implement targeted interventions that improve student outcomes.
- Supporting teachers and curriculum leaders in promoting student wellbeing and engagement.
- Collaborating to meet Schools Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) requirements through strategies such as case management and tailored support.
- Building and maintaining positive, professional relationships with students, staff, parents and external stakeholders.

Teachers and School Administrators employed at Eastern Goldfields College in 2026 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $3 000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.
The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.
