**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Head of Asset West, you will Lead and support key cost activities including OPEX budgets, maintenance of the control budget, tracking commitments, estimation of accruals, monitoring the impact of changes and identification of trends and corrective / preventative actions to influence on-budget delivery of the teams operational and portfolio objectives

Your core responsibilities are:

- Establish Project Controls structures that enable visibility on project value tracking, project accounting and correct allocations
- Ensures financial and cost structures are setup for project delivery and ensures that projects are financially closed out appropriately
- Identification and delivery of best for fit cost and schedule reporting solutions focussing on automation opportunities to enable transparency of data on KPI’s including cost and schedule
- Work with the Planner in providing delivery teams cost and schedule support and insights based on project data captured reducing delivery delays and Supplementary Approval Requests (SARs)
- Support the Planner with the submissions to Investment Review Committee
- Provides support on cost estimating and schedules for projects reviewing tollgate cost estimates for checks and balances
- Tracking and reporting on overall team OPEX spend vs forecast
- Responsible for identifying/driving Technology cost reductions opportunities for Asset unit cost in line with market commitments and production outputs
- Supporting the Head of involving travel, entertainment activities, etc
- Collaboration with Technology Finance Business Partner team during budgeting cycles and financial approvals
- Preparation of President level functional cost presentations and reports
- Maintain the integrity of the project portfolio’s lists, provide technical expertise to PM’s when they obtain approval for phase funding and request with Fixed Asset.
- Involve in Business Analysis/Project Management work
- Leading the Asset West - WAVE / cost reduction initiatives and driving the processes associated with this
- Presentation of all Technology cost reporting

**About You**:

- Excellent understanding of project scheduling and cost control techniques
- Demonstrated experience working within complex projects and the facilitation and coordination of project activities
- Experience with program/project management life cycle, methodologies, and governance processes
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with various stakeholders across all levels
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in SAP and Project Online is highly desirable
