About the Role

This position plays a key role in providing excellent customer service to Gallery patrons and working collaboratively across Council to champion our purpose of Growing Townsville and to deliver the Corporate Plan in consultation with the Townsville Community. Providing operational support to the Gallery team including supporting exhibition install / demount, collection processes and public program delivery.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have :

- Sound knowledge of the visual arts with particular emphasis on experience in exhibition install / demount and public program delivery.
- Demonstrated experience working in a gallery, museum or other arts organisation.
- Sound customer service skills including demonstrated experience in working with members of the public from diverse backgrounds, interests, ages and abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to deliver Gallery and / or community outcomes.
- Well-developed problem-solving abilities and time management.
- Sound knowledge of computer programs including Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Creative.
- Current Queensland “C” class driver’s licence.
- Ability to obtain a Blue Card for Working with Children.

The Council contribution to employees' superannuation for contributing employees shall be 13.5% of the employees' ordinary time earnings, subject to the employee contributing a minimum of 6% of their ordinary time earnings.
