About the Role

This position plays a key role in in providing excellent customer service to Gallery patrons and working collaboratively across Council to champion our purpose of Growing Townsville and to deliver the Corporate Plan in consultation with the Townsville Community.

Providing operational support to the Gallery team including supporting exhibition install/demount, collection processes and public program delivery.

About You

Our ideal applicant will have:

  • Sound knowledge of the visual arts with particular emphasis on experience in exhibition install/demount and public program delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a gallery, museum, or other arts organisation.
  • Sound customer service skills including demonstrated experience in working with members of the public from diverse backgrounds, interests, ages, and abilities.
  • Sound knowledge of computer programs including, Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Creative
