About the role
As a HR Business Partner at the State Solicitor's Office (the Office), you will be a part of a small but dynamic and highly productive Human Resources team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing people strategies that contribute to organisational productivity and strategic direction of the Office.
Reporting to the Manager Human Resources, you will work closely with legal sections and corporate services, to implement and lead HR initiatives across workforce planning, strategic recruitment, job design, change management, and overall talent management. This role is instrumental in strengthening strategic HR partnerships and applying business acumen to solve workforce challenges in collaboration with legal and corporate services leaders.
You will:
- Manage a portfolio of business areas to provide solution focused HR consultancy, advisory and process services to ensure leaders are supported in driving Office priorities and operational goals.
- Work together with other HR personnel and leaders to connect HR strategies and frameworks to business operations and people decisions.
- Source and use data driven HR insights to support leaders to make well -informed people related decisions and solve HR challenges.
- Be a conduit between business areas, Finance and HR to facilitate and action a wide range of people related HR activities, including job design and mobility of staff.
- Coach and support line managers and leaders to build leadership capability in navigating people matters including early intervention in employee relations matters.
About You
To thrive in this role, you will have a solution focused and resilient mindset with a can-do attitude and demonstrated experience or exposure to business partnering related activities within dynamic work environments. You will bring:
- Broad range of HR expertise in routine and strategic HR activities including but not limited to recruitment, job design, employee relations, change facilitation and the application of award/agreement entitlements.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to tailor your communication style and method based on situation and the audience.
- Demonstrated experience in problem solving with the ability to prioratise work tasks to deliver on high value items.
- Proactive, adaptable and resilient mindset with a commitment to delivering timely, high-quality HR advice and solutions.
- Proven track record of being able to build strong stakeholder relationships across all levels, including your team members and peers.
