Accounts Assistant
As Accounts Assistant, you will support our established UK accounting team in all areas through a period of transition on to both a new billing system and a new finance package. Initially required for a six-month period there is potential for extension dependent on the team’s workload requirements following the implementation of both new systems.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting the Accounts Payable function, with invoice processing, payments, statement reconciliations and supplier queries.
- Supporting the Accounts Receivable function with billing, refunds, work in progress monitoring and customer queries.
- Assisting both the Management Accountant and Revenue Accountant with any routine analysis or data cleansing required in respect of the transition to the new systems.
- Additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Other requirements
- Experience of working within an accounting function/office environment desirable.
- GCSE grades 4 or higher in both Maths and English.
- Strong IT skills in MS office packages (Excel and Outlook).
- Knowledge of Sage 200/Sage Intacct and Foxit PDF Editor would be an advantage.
- A high degree of both numeracy and accuracy and an eye for detail.
- Organised and able to prioritise own workload in order to meet tight deadlines.
- Self-confident with good communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Desire to learn, develop and contribute to the wider team goals.
- Experience of system migration preferable.
