Job Description

Spread Joy, by joining our Volunteer Team

We are seeking an Italian speaking volunteer with a passion to give back to the community by visiting an elderly lady living at home in Cameron Park. Our client speaks Italian and she would like to meet someone to visit her who loves a good conversation and a cuppa.

The ACVVS program is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference to the life of an older person, right here in the Hunter region.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the client you are matched with.

We're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need and we have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of clients who are living at home.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements

18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a 30 minute visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday; visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
