Do you speak Cantonese? Your time and friendship could mean the world to an older person in your community.
We are looking for friendly volunteers to visit Cantonese people living in local aged care homes. Visits might involve chatting, playing cards, helping with an activity or going for a short walk.
We're seeking people who are:
Friendly, kind and willing to commit to bringing happiness through regular visits.
Comfortable interacting with people who experience the ups and downs that come with the ageing process and conditions like dementia.
If this sounds like you, we'd love to discuss this opportunity further and answer your questions.
We value our volunteers and will do all we can to ensure you love being part of our team.
The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) is funded by the Australian Government and delivered by MS Plus. MS Plus is a child safe organisation with a Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy.

Regular - more than 6 months
Training
Self-paced online induction training provided (approximately 1 hour).
Time required
One-hour, fortnightly (or weekly) visits at a time that suits you.
Requirements
- Driver's Licence (C)
Applicants must be over 18. Police and referee checks are completed by MS Plus free of charge.
