Regular check‑ins with identified students will ideally form part of their daily routine, ensuring consistent support and encouragement.

In addition, the Student Support Officer may be tasked with coordinating lunchtime activities and contribute to the planning and delivery of whole‑school rewards programmes that promote positive behaviour and a positive school culture. They may also be responsible for delivering targeted programmes to small groups of students, which could include intervention initiatives or social‑emotional learning programmes designed to support individual needs. Furthermore, they should support students during incursions and excursions and play an active role in initiatives that promote student wellbeing and social development.
