About Life’s Little Treasures, Walk for Prems and The Mighty Trek Challenge Life’s Little Treasures Foundation (LLTF) is Australia’s foremost charity dedicated to providing information, support and connection for families of sick and premature babies. We provide education, emotional and practical assistance and connection opportunities through our various products and services. We work with over 150 hospitals and support thousands of families nationally through a suite of free, evidence-based programs.
To celebrate our 20th anniversary, we're building on our flagship Walk for Prems fundraiser by introducing The Mighty Trek Challenge (TMTC). This challenge symbolises and raises awareness of the journey these families endure - physically, emotionally and psychologically. To honour their strength, hope and resilience, we'll be pushing ourselves to the limits by taking on an endurance challenge which will see us push an incubator 900km in 20 locations from Sydney to Melbourne.
In preparation to deliver Walk for Prems - The Mighty Trek Challenge, Life’s Little Treasures will need a team of volunteers to assist with delivering this incredible, unique event in 20 locations.
In Canberra on 12 October we need volunteers to help with:
- Setting up the marquees including trestle tables and chairs
- Helping register people for the walk
- Hand out medals at the finish line
- Handing out water at water stations
- Selling merchandise
- Putting up signage
- Other duties
