This is a Tier 2 Infrastructure Specialist Role that facilitates the delivery of managed services and technical support for Cloud and Datacentre technologies in accordance with the contracted service level agreements for our customers. Working with Optus customers, internal stakeholders and vendors to provide technical support and assist with incident and change management.

This role is accountable for delivering brilliant service to multiple enterprise customers across key technologies including VMWare, Microsoft, Cisco and Public Cloud. A strong vendor management focus is key in this role, working closely with various vendors, driving the right outcomes for our customers.

* We will only be considering Australian Citizens able to obtain an NV1 security clearance

Responsibilities

- Help us keep our critical internal and customer virtualised compute environments running smoothly through pro-active maintenance and reactive incident response.
- Assisting users with access and security management. Owning the administration and management of user access domains and groups
- Identification and remediation of vulnerabilities within defined SLAs across multiple platforms and vendors
- Monitoring diagnosing and solving performance issues that are or have the potential to be service impacting
- Strong stakeholder communication and vendor management.
- Contribute to our journey in supporting cutting-edge cloud hosted and on-premises technologies including:
- - Hypervisor Virtualisation

- VMware vSphere

- Cisco UCS servers

- Linux Server Administration

- Windows Server Admin

- Backup and Storage Platforms

- Security and Protection applications

- Work within a structured environment that follows standard IT service management practices (based on ITIL principles).
- Be an escalation point for more complex Cloud and DC incidents that Service Desk or other teams may encounter.

What We're Looking For

We/'re keen to hear from individuals who are enthusiastic about technology and eager to learn. Experience with VMWare, Microsoft and Cisco computing platforms will be highly considered. Certifications from major vendors for systems like VMWare, Microsoft and Cisco will be well regarded.

- A willingness to learn and contribute to a team environment.
- Ability to follow processes and guidelines.
- A genuine interest in the world of private and public cloud computing technologies and their large-scale application.
