About the role

The Senior Client Data Officer will create reports from client system databases, conduct continuous improvement reviews, liaise with system providers to ensure system functionality, and provide clear policy/procedures and user training for systems.

Key responsibilities

- Collaborate with leaders and management to determine short‑term and long‑term data collection needs and appropriate data resources.

- Set up, implement, and support data collection policies and procedures.

- Train and educate all users on data collection systems and procedures.

- Establish data quality standards and work with management teams and external stakeholders to ensure standards are met.

- Maintain Centacare North Queensland data management systems, including internal client databases and national reporting databases such as DEX.

- Ensure data systems are operational, accessible and current.

- Provide issue resolution to end users.

- Document procedures for data preparation, including cleaning, mining, standardisation, and analysis.

- Develop data collection and evaluation methodologies in collaboration with management and senior leadership.

- Support implementation of security and compliance for data collection, storage and reporting.

- Research and implement system integrations that benefit data storage and reporting.

- Ensure compliance with privacy, data collection and storage standards.

- Improve current systems to enhance operations and reporting.

- Maintain close relationships with third‑party system providers and software vendors.

Qualifications and experience

- 3+ years of experience in data management and service performance monitoring in a social services context.

- Relevant qualifications in a social services field.

- Experience managing complex database systems.

- High‑level communication skills, verbal and written.

- Ability to prioritise, set deadlines and operate independently.

- Ability to rapidly understand, interpret and respond to organisational data needs and provide reports to senior leaders and managers.
