Job Description

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS, Snowflake, and dbt.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
- Optimise existing data architectures to improve performance and reliability.
- Implement robust data governance practices to ensure data quality and security.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Support the integration of new data sources into existing systems.
- Document processes, workflows, and system configurations for future reference.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members where required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Data Engineer (Contract) should have:

- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Snowflake, and dbt.
- A solid understanding of data modelling and ETL processes.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and automation.
- Experience working in cloud-based data environments.
- An analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A background in the business services industry is advantageous but not essential.
