Downer is seeking a proactive and experienced Facility Asset Maintenance Coordinator to join our team supporting the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP) at the Torbanlea Manufacturing Facility. This role is pivotal in developing, coordinating, and implementing maintenance strategies aligned with the Technical Maintenance Plan (TMP), ensuring the facility assets operate efficiently, reliably and safely, supporting production objectives
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies aligned with the TMP
- Coordinate maintenance plans, ensuring effective inter-department communications
- Collaborate with production, engineering and external service providers to manage asset risk while supporting operations
- Lead Zero Harm initiatives and promote a strong safety culture
- Manage contractors and maintenance teams, ensuring compliance with site procedures and permits
- Provide technical support and continuously improve maintenance processes
What you will bring
- Strong background in asset maintenance across infrastructure, rail, facilities or a relevant industry
- Proven leadership in managing teams, projects, and maintenance operations
- Proficient in computerised maintenance management systems (Maximo highly regarded) and Microsoft Office suite)
- Solid understanding of safety regulations, permits, and safe work documentation (JSEA, SWMS)
- Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to drive process improvements and deliver cost efficiencies
