Overview

Opal Fibre Packaging Australia provides a full service offering in corrugated cardboard box packaging from design and product testing through to supply chain integration. We have an exciting opportunity as we are currently looking for an experienced Inventory Controller with strong inventory management skills to join the Opal Fibre Packaging team. This role can be based out of either our Scoresby or our Brooklyn site.

Responsibilities

- Managing inventory for our manufacturing sites and depots across Victoria (2 manufacturing sites and 5 depots)
- Ensure all inventory is managed within agreed targets for raw materials, finished goods and quarantined stock
- Raise made-to-stock production orders and stock transfer orders to ensure adequate stock levels and avoid overstocking across the Opal Fibre Packaging Victorian Network
- Monitor and manage SLOB inventory to minimize financial impact and optimize warehouse space
- Influence and engage key stakeholders to support and adopt optimized inventory management principles through data-driven insights & collaboration
- Play a key role in the ongoing optimization of working capital

Qualifications

- Years of experience in inventory management, ideally within multi-site manufacturing environments
- A degree within the relevant fields (such as Supply Chain, Business or Warehousing) would be viewed favourably, but is not a requirement
- Proven ability to drive change through stakeholder collaboration when optimizing inventory practices, resulting in tangible outcomes
- Strong knowledge & experience in using SAP is required
- Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Excellent analytical skills, and ability to communicate insights to stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability of proactively taking initiative and questioning existing norms
