Our Coles Liquor team work across three leading brands (Liquorland, First Choice Liquor Market and Vintage Cellars), each with their own unique offering and customer base. About the Role

Are you a strategic SEO leader ready to shape the future of organic search in a rapidly evolving digital landscape? Coles Liquor is seeking a dynamic SEO Manager to lead our search strategy and drive performance across Liquorland’s digital ecosystem.

As our SEO Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing a cutting‑edge SEO strategy that responds to the evolving impact of AI on organic search. You’ll lead technical SEO initiatives, identify content and link‑building opportunities, and manage longtail SEO tactics to grow traffic and sales.

You’ll collaborate cross‑functionally with internal teams and external agencies, influence technology roadmaps, and ensure our SEO efforts are aligned with broader business goals.

You will also;

- Develop and execute the SEO strategy for Liquorland, with a focus on AI‑driven search changes

- Conduct regular SEO audits and implement best‑practice recommendations

- Manage technical SEO, content optimisation, and link‑building initiatives

- Lead longtail SEO tactics including page creation and optimisation

- Report on SEO performance across weekly, monthly, and quarterly cycles

- Influence internal stakeholders and technology teams to deliver SEO initiatives

- Manage SEO agencies and oversee the SEO budget

About you and your skills

Our ideal candidate is a strategic and self‑driven SEO expert with strong stakeholder management skills to keep SEO front‑of‑mind across senior stakeholders. With AI reshaping customer behaviour, you'll lead efforts to adapt and innovate, creating and executing impactful strategies. You are comfortable managing external agencies and collaborating cross‑functionally across product, supermarkets, and digital teams, independently driving performance and implementing the SEO roadmap.

You will also ideally have;

- Tertiary qualification in Marketing or a related field

- Extensive experience in digital marketing, SEO, and e‑commerce, ideally within FMCG or retail

- Strong commercial acumen and data‑driven decision‑making skills

- Familiarity with SEO tools, CMS platforms, CSS/HTML, and Adobe Creative Cloud

- Experience with analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
