The Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity for an agile, proactive individual with experience in construction, project management, government procurement or contract management who is ready to transition from a site based role into a broader project delivery capacity. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of maintenance and construction methods, a collaborative approach, and the ability to achieve the status quo for continuous improvement.

About The Role:

As a Senior Project Officer, you will be part of a highly skilled, multidisciplinary and visionary team which is responsible for and delivers refurbishment and maintenance programs, and initiatives to drive better housing outcomes for residents of Western Australia.

This role will bring high-level expertise, leadership, procurement and project delivery knowledge to manage complex refurbishment and maintenance projects across the state. You will develop, monitor and manage high to medium-risk contracts from concept to completion, lead teams, drive stakeholder engagement, and ensure successful outcomes across planning, procurement, delivery, and post-completion phases.

To thrive in this role, we are seeking:

- Demonstrated experience in project management within the building and maintenance industry

- Proven ability to lead and mentor teams while managing multiple priorities

- Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills

Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Set up and manage project management and procurement functions to enable project delivery and contribute to planning, budgeting, resourcing, tracking, reporting, quality management and communication.

- Encourage and facilitate collaboration, connection and coordination of information, approach and responses supporting capacity building and collective impact approaches.

- Identify and track the project/program critical path and work with teams to ensure key risks, issues and interdependencies are flagged, managed, and escalated within project/program
