LYRO Robotics Pty Ltd is a leader in innovative robotics and software solutions, specializing in robotic systems utilising AI enabled vision systems for complex picking, packing and visual analysis in industrial environments. We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Jr Industrial Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a keen interest in robotics manufacturing, process optimization, and a commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understanding product/project requirements to determine the appropriate supply chain is established considering (suppliers, equipment, logistics, etc).
- Manage stock of hardware and equipment.
- Establish and document standards and procedures for the assembly and manufacture of robotic systems and testing assemblies, analyzing work samples to optimize the efficiency of labor and materials during the assembly process.
- Record and analyze operational data from maintenance forms and testing plans to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of manufacturing specifications to ensure optimal utilization of materials, equipment, and manufacturing processes/techniques for the use in robotic systems and testing assemblies.
- Manage the in-house and on-site installation and deployment of LYRO robots and systems, ensuring all materials, equipment, and labor are effectively utilized according to customer and internal specifications.
- Establish and enforce standards and policies for the installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection, and maintenance of robotic systems, adhering to engineering principles, relevant national/international standards, and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks to ensure robotic systems and related hardware are functioning optimally. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and analyze data to inform future design and maintenance schedules.
- Analyze performance and maintenance data to identify common failure modes and implement design revisions to improve reliability and performance of robotic systems and testing assemblies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
- Proven experience in robotics manufacturing, system assembly, and process optimization.
- Strong knowledge of robotics systems and assembly processes.
- Experience with 3D printing, materials management, and resource allocation in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing specifications.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
