About Our Team: The Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (ICAMHS) in Western Australia offer support, advice and treatment to children and adolescents from birth to 18 years who are experiencing mental health challenges. About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join the ICAMHS (Infant, Children, Adolescent Mental Health Services) team. In collaboration with Medical Co-Director, the Co-Director of Nursing Inpatients provides operational leadership and governance oversight of the delivery of acute mental health services within Perth Children's Hospital (PCH) and across Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (ICAMHS). The Co-Director of Nursing also provides professional oversight for the nursing profession across ICAMHS. As a member of the ICAMHS Executive Team, provides strategic and transformational leadership to support the achievement of ICAMHS performance objectives and high standards of clinical practice, through the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans, policy, education programs, research activities and service improvement strategies. Responsibilities: - Leads strategic planning and cultural alignment across ICAMHS, CAHS, and WA Health, promoting values and ethical conduct. - Advises executive leadership on mental health service delivery, patient care, and system-wide reforms. - Implements reform initiatives and new models of care, collaborating with medical leadership and stakeholders. - Manages operational performance of the Acute Mental Health Services Directorate, ensuring compliance and resource efficiency. - Drives clinical governance and quality improvement, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning. - Oversees nursing workforce standards, integration with state programs, and alignment with legislative and regulatory frameworks. - Leads education, training, and research strategies to support evidence-based practice and service innovation. - Builds partnerships and stakeholder engagement, representing ICAMHS and CAHS in professional, community, and government forums. About our CAMHS Directorates - Community CAMHS – Community CAMHS offers mental health assessment and multidisciplinary intervention for children and young people up to the age of 18 years. - Specialist Services and Day Programs – The Specialist Services and Day Programs consists of Complex Attention and Hyperactivity Disorder Service, Multisystemic Therapy, Pathways and Touchstone. These programs support children and young people who have complex mental health needs. - Acute CAMHS – Acute CAMHS, based at Perth Children's Hospital has a mental health inpatient unit (Ward 5A), Paediatric Psychiatric Inpatient In-Reach Team (PPIRT), Eating Disorder Service and Gender Diversity Service.
