The Client

Our client has been operating for over 20 years in the Melbourne market and they have a large and diverse client base that can offer someone complex tax work and future progression within the firm.

The Role

As a Senior Accountant, you will work closely with the managers and the partners, and support them with high profile client portfolios. Review work for junior staff and meet with clients face-to-face and virtually.

Day to day duties:

- Preparation of Income Tax Returns, Financial Statements, Business Activity Statements & FBT returns

- Tax planning and advice

- Supporting Directors and Managers with ongoing compliance work and special projects

- Preparation of cash flows and tax projections

- Develop and maintain relationships with clients

- Liaising with third parties such as ATO, SRO, etc.

- Mentoring and reviewing duties of other team members’ work

The Applicant

- 3+ years’ local experience in Business Services & Tax

- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related fields

- CA/CPA qualification or in the process of attaining

- Experience with XERO (XPM) is highly regarded

- Excellent presentation and communication skills
