About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fit-Out Project Engineer with Tier 1 or 2 Building experience to join our team on the Logan Hospital Stage 2.

Responsibilities of the role include:

- Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities
- Assist with the preparation of site construction budgets and reports
- Monitor construction progress for adherence to programme and report to the Site Manager or Project Manager
- Contribute to improvements to existing designs
- Arrange and oversee the letting of tenders
- Demonstrate financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions
- Assign work and assist with reviews
- Execute working knowledge of contractual and legislation relevant to the project
- Undertake quantitative and qualitative safety, environment and quality risk assessment
- Analyse and use document and record management, progress and project performance reporting
- Demonstrate sound people management skills by managing work and performance of subcontractors
- Utilize effective time management skills including sequencing of work of own and resource time management

What we are looking for:

- Fit-out experience in a Site or Project Engineering role with a Tier 1 or 2 contractor
- Bachlor Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction or equivalent
- Significant demonstrated experience in a Site or Project Engineering role
- Knowledge of project management structure, plans, specification, standards and implications for project accountabilities
- Understanding of the Project Design, Quality, Safety and Environmental Management Plans
- Pre-contracts knowledge in relation to design, planning and legislative requirements
