An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and detail orientated individual to join our Finance Department as our Patient Records Clerk. This is a casual opportunity to cover a leave period for 5 weeks. This integral position involves the processing and entering of patient record forms into the accounting system.

What you’ll do

- Identify the correct debtor to receive an account for ambulance transport to ensure that each individual patient care record is charged to the person responsible for the ambulance transport invoice.

- Review each patient care record to determine where billing is appropriate i.e Identifying sensitive Cases

- Check patient care records for errors and omissions then input the correct information to ensure the accuracy of record information

- Input case sheet data into the database in a timely manner. Kpi’s are set.

- Reverse and recharge accounts rejected by debtors and correct any errors .

- Resolve and respond to email queries relating to accounts as required. Completed monthly invoicing to major debtors for example WA Police, Insurance Commission of WA and Metro and Country Hospitals.

What you’ll need

- Strong administration and organisational skills with prior experience in a similar capacity being highly regarded but not essential.

- Superior attention to detail and accuracy

- A health and/or customer service background would be advantageous.

- A self-starter attitude with the ability to work autonomously and manage independent workload.
