Overview

Are you an experienced Accountant seeking your next challenge in a corporate setting?

The Ray White Finance team is seeking an Accountant for a 15-month full-time fixed term contract. This role is a parental leave cover, with the possibility of moving into permanent employment at the end of the term based on performance and team structural requirements.

Duties and responsibilities

- Month End Reporting

- Monthly management reports (including profit and loss), variance analysis, and insightful commentary to strict deadlines

- Benchmark reporting for different departments

- Balance sheet reconciliations

- Bank reconciliations and banking support

- Rent, fitout, and parking reconciliations

- Reconciling and authenticating data from different sources

- Ensure transactions, supporting workpapers, and EOM deadlines are met to the highest standard

- Tax Reporting

- Preparation of monthly and quarterly BAS/GST lodgements

- Assist in compliance requirements in relation to Payroll Tax, FBT, and Income Tax

- Other Duties

- Provide support to the AR and AP functions as required

- Assist with maintaining the Finance team's procedural documents

- Assist in preparation of annual budgets and forecasting

- Assist in year end audit

- Other ad-hoc duties as required

Who we/'re looking for

- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Accounting and Finance and studying towards CPA/CA qualified
- Minimum 3 years experience in similar Accountant role
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Great problem solving and attention to detail
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, experience with Oracle Netsuite and Xero also beneficial
- Proactive, confident, flexible, and adaptable individual who works well under pressure managing multiple deadlines.
