Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook meals and present food for customers

- Organise menu board and specials board

- Work with Head Chef on menu plans and menu development

- All aspects of food purchasing, including ordering, receiving and stock control

- Prepare kitchen area at commencement of shift

- Assist in training and development of apprentices and other staff

- Develop new menu items while staying true to authentic culinary practices

- Ensure food is consistently prepared and presented according to set recipes and standards

- Oversee inventory levels and place orders as needed to maintain stock

- Train and manage kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations

- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times

Qualifications & Experience

- At least one year working experience as a chef in a reputable restaurant

- Extensive knowledge of cuisine and cooking techniques

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
