About the Opportunity

Then a traineeship with Cowra Council may be the opportunity for you We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Finance team as a Trainee - Customer Service Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience while completing a nationally recognised qualification – Certificate III in Business (Customer Engagement).

The Trainee - Customer Service Officer is part of a small team who are the face of our organisation. The successful applicant will be passionate about delivering positive face‑to‑face customer service experiences and enjoy working in a fast‑paced environment. This position is responsible for processing front counter and over the phone customer transactions and enquiries using a variety of computer systems as well as liaising across all departments to refer customer services enquiries onto the relevant personnel.

Qualifications & Experience

- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.

- The ability to follow direction and procedures, while showing initiative.

- Intermediate to advanced computer literacy skills with high levels of data entry accuracy and speed.

- High resilience level and the ability to work well under pressure.

- The ability to maintain confidentiality.

- Previous experience in processing of credit card payments and cash handling experience (preferred).
