How you can help make a better world of work As a Team Lead, you will be at the forefront of building and leading the team creating the future of communications at Culture Amp. You will be instrumental in shaping a generative, high‑performing culture by building systems of work that empower engineers. You will lead the technical selection of a new platform vendor and champion a "platform as a product" approach, creating a service so valuable that product teams choose to adopt it. This is a key leadership role with a chance to make a significant impact on our developer experience and ability to deliver customer value. As part of this team of amazing humans, You will - Lead, coach, and mentor a team of talented engineers, fostering their growth and helping them achieve their career goals. - Drive the technical direction for your team, leading the evaluation and integration of a new communications vendor while balancing technical and product trade‑offs. - Champion a culture of trust and psychological safety, creating an environment where your team can do their best work and learn from failure. - Partner with product managers and stakeholders to deliver a platform roadmap that reduces cognitive load and improves the DORA metrics for internal product teams. - Continuously improve engineering practices, identifying and removing systemic friction to enhance delivery and efficiency. - Own your team’s delivery, consistently meeting commitments and translating your work into measurable, valuable outcomes for internal product teams. You have - A strong background in software engineering and experience leading engineering teams. - A passion for people leadership and a proven ability to build and develop high‑performing teams, including managing individual performance. - A "platform as a product" mindset, with a deep understanding of developer experience and how to earn adoption from internal customers. - Experience with the technical evaluation, integration, and management of third‑party vendors and services. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. - Strong systems thinking and a strategic mindset, with the ability to think critically about technical and organizational challenges.
