Opportunity

As a Disability Support Worker with Ability WA, you will play a vital role in empowering our customers to live independently and achieve their personal goals.

We are currently seeking Part-Time Support Workers to join our team based in the Coolbinia and Warwick areas. This is a rewarding opportunity to build meaningful relationships with customers in a consistent location while supporting their daily living and community engagement.

Each role includes a mix of in‑home and community‑based support. While full commitment to the listed hours is preferred, we welcome applications from candidates with flexible availability.

Location A: Coolbinia

- Approximately 30 hours per week

Location B: Coolbinia

- Approximately 33 hours per week

Location C: Coolbinia

- Approximately 27.5 hours per week

Location D: Coolbinia

- Approximately 24.5 hours per week

Location E: Warwick

- Approximately 16 hours per week, active + sleepover component

Location F: Warwick

- Approximately 31.5 hours per week

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person‑centred support to customers in their homes and communities.

You will:

- Provide active support to maximise customer engagement in daily life

- Assist with daily living tasks such as cleaning, cooking, shopping, and personal administration

- Support personal care needs, including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing and hoisting

- Promote community inclusion through appointments, activities, and social connections

- Complete shift notes, incident reports, and advocate for customer well‑being

About You

You are a compassionate and reliable team player who is committed to supporting others to live their best lives.

To succeed in the role, you will bring:

- Certificate III or IV in a caring discipline (highly desirable)

- Strong communication and person‑centred skills

- Comfortable supporting all aspects of daily living and personal care

- Ability to work across varied shifts and locations within Ability WA

- Ability to drive our wheelchair‑accessible vans

Required Clearances and Certifications

- National Police Clearance (issued within the last 6 months)

- Driver's Licence

- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance

- NDIS Worker Orientation Module

- First Aid Certification (HLTAID010 or HLTAID003 minimum)

- COVID‑19 Vaccination Certificate (minimum 2x doses)

- Australian Working Rights
