About the Role
As a Management Accountant, you’ll support the Group Consolidation team in the delivery of high-quality financial reporting across actuals, forecasts, and budgets. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a system transformation project and gain exposure across multiple business units including Retail, Energy, and F&I.
You’ll play a key role in supporting the shift from manual Excel-based processes to an integrated OneStream (OS) platform, helping to enhance efficiency and data accuracy. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys improving systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing consolidated monthly Group management reports (P&L, Cashflow, and Balance Sheet) for actuals, forecasts, and budgets
- Drive improvements in financial reporting systems by supporting the migration from Excel to OneStream (OS)
- Deliver monthly Group volume reporting, meeting both internal and external reporting requirements
- Compile accurate and timely consolidated Balance Sheet and cash flow reports, including working capital forecasting
- Prepare general ledger reconciliations and support corrective actions as needed
About You
You’re a detail-oriented finance professional with strong expertise in management reporting and financial systems. You bring advanced Excel skills, solid SAP knowledge, and a proactive mindset for improving processes. Known for your ability to partner with stakeholders and drive outcomes, you're a collaborative team player. Experience with OneStream or in an ASX-listed environment is a bonus.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience preparing accurate and timely financial reports, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail, advanced Excel capability, and a commitment to improving the integrity of financial models and processes
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
- Working knowledge of SAP, with experience in financial systems transformation (OneStream experience highly regarded)
- A degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, or Finance, with CA or CPA qualification is desirable
- We are flexible. Many of our teams have embraced hybrid work, balancing time spent remote working, with time spent at an office to connect and work together where it adds value.
- We value recognition. We have an internal recognition platform amplifying the achievements of those who do great work and demonstrate our capabilities and values.
- Career development and learning opportunities including LinkedIn Learning and other tailored training solutions.
- Care for your Community. Spend one paid day a year volunteering with one of our Ampol Foundation partners.
We’re an equal opportunity workplace. We not only embrace diversity and inclusion; we celebrate what makes you unique. We welcome applications from people of all ages, cultural backgrounds, and diverse sexualities and genders (including if you identify as transgender).
