Fixed term full time, day worker (with on call) position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible, for a 3-year period.

Motivated, experienced Clinical Lead – Paediatrics, to work for the Department of Health (DoH) across the North West region.

The role requires the successful applicant to work with the Clinical Director - Women’s and Children’s and assist with providing a high level of strategic leadership and direction. The Clinical Lead will ensure resources are efficiently utilised, services are effectively integrated within the hospital/service, and the highest standards of service delivery are achieved in accordance with hospital/service policy directions, service standards and financial targets.

In addition, the Clinical Lead will provide specialist paediatric medical care to patients attending:

- North West Regional Hospital (NWRH), Burnie
- Mersey Community Hospital (MCH), Latrobe outreach clinics
- Outreach services across the broader North West region

The Paediatrics department provides a consultative service supported by inpatient and outpatient services, and outreach services located at:

- West Coast District Hospital
- Smithton District Hospital
- King Island District Hospital
- Devonport Community Health

NWRH provides a neonatal service and a busy inpatient service.
