ABOUT THE ROLE
The Insights and Reporting Analyst is responsible for designing and managing performance reporting frameworks that measure SRA’s strategic, research, and operational outcomes. This role translates complex data into actionable insights to support corporate reporting and continuous improvement. By fostering strong relationships across the business, the analyst ensures alignment with strategic goals and delivers high‑quality performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
YOUR REQUIREMENTS
You will bring with you the following qualifications, capabilities and experience:
Essential:
- Three years relevant experience in a similar role.
- Tertiary qualification in Business Management, Finance or relevant business strategy and performance monitoring.
- Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in strategic and operational planning, monitoring and evaluation, with particular expertise in establishing program logic based organisational performance monitoring and reporting systems.
- Demonstrated high‑level conceptual and analytical skills with respect to qualitative and quantitative data analysis, interpretation and reporting.
- Proven ability to develop and manage relationships and partnerships with senior internal and external personnel.
- High level written communication skills, including report writing.
- Demonstrated advanced computer skills including proficient use of MS Office programs (particularly Excel) and experience with database packages, with the ability to produce tables and graphs suitable for external audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver under pressure and within tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking with the ability to develop and apply analysis and insights to generate strategic approaches and plans that positively influence organisational direction and results.
- Demonstrated high level project management skills with strong attention to detail, ability to effectively multitask, set expectations and elevate issues when appropriate.
Desirable:
- Previous experience working in a research organisation in a stakeholder / monitoring and evaluation role with a strong appreciation of the policy landscape surrounding research and development and extension.
