Senior Analyst - Financial Planning and Analysis

Our team are responsible for all aspects of financial reporting and analysis for Macquarie’s Risk Management Group as well as Legal and Governance and Internal Audit.

What role will you play?

You will pro-actively support the Finance team to service a wide range of stakeholders including Risk Management Group Division teams, Projects & Change, and Technology to provide insights and analysis to help manage the Risk Management Group’s cost base and establish the groups strategic objectives. You will analyse and report financial results to provide insights into the Risk Management Group cost base, monitoring financial drivers and cost recovery processes. You will also contribute to developing financial models to guide business decisions, supporting strategic reviews and forecasting cycles.

What you offer

- 4+ years’ experience within a financial planning and analysis or treasury role

- Relevant tertiary qualification includes actuarial, accounting, economics, engineering, mathematics

- Strong numerical and analytical skills with an ability to understand and succinctly explain large and complex data sets

- Experience with budgeting, profit and loss and balance sheet reporting.

About the Risk Management Group

Our Risk Management Group works as an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. We are a global team that aims to manage the risks of today and anticipate the risks of tomorrow. Our divisions include compliance, credit, financial crime risk, market risk, operational risk, aggregate risk and prudential, and central.
