Your New Role

Step into a dynamic Senior Analyst role within our Valuations Team, where you/'ll help oversee the valuation of our rapidly expanding portfolio of directly held unlisted assets. You/'ll collaborate with independent valuers and asset class teams, ensuring our valuation process is robust, insightful, and future-focused.

Your days will be filled with analytical challenges—diving into financial models, crafting impactful presentations, and working side-by-side with talented peers and senior leaders in the Mid Risk and Private Equity Groups. You/'ll share investment insights, sharpen your technical skills, and play a hands-on role in priority projects.

Note that whilst this is a Senior Analyst position, we would also be open to Analyst level candidates for this role.

Key responsibilities

- Supporting, and helping to drive the valuation process for unlisted assets (Infrastructure, Private Equity, and Debt/Credit): facilitate stakeholder meetings, review independent valuation reports, perform shadow valuations and cross-checks, verify data accuracy, and assess key assumptions.

- Supporting internal valuations for investments not externally valued, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

- Researching and delivering insights that power valuation analysis, and collating key metrics to ensure assets are valued appropriately.

- Contributing to valuation papers for the Valuation Committee, supporting investment recommendations.

- Preparing Requests for Proposal to help appoint independent valuers for new and rotating assets.

- Assisting in the creation of thought leadership and sharing valuation insights with stakeholders.

- Analysing data for Board and committee reporting.

- Enhancing our valuation function by developing systems, controls, and processes to support our growing fund.

- Helping deliver on internal, external, and regulatory reporting requirements.

- Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders on valuation matters.

What You'll Need

- Experience in a valuation team at a large accounting firm, boutique corporate advisor, or institutional/corporate investing role.

- Familiarity with infrastructure or related sectors (note - You don/'t have to have specific Infrastructure / Private Asset Valuations experience).

- Strong skills in report preparation, data analysis, and drawing clear conclusions.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal), with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

- A keen eye for detail, great time management, and a collaborative spirit.

- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or a related field.

- Bonus points for experience with S&P Capital IQ, Bloomberg, and post-grad qualifications (e.g., CFA, Chartered Accountants ANZ).
