About Tenterfield Care Centre

Tenterfield Care Centre is proudly part of the Apollo Care Alliance, dedicated to providing the highest quality residential aged care in a homely environment. Our mission is to enable each resident to live their best life with dignity and grace, empowering our employees with the necessary resources and support. Spilt between two sites, Haddington and Millrace are welcoming country-style communities where we support each resident to maintain their interests, familiar routines and connections to the people and places they love.

Tenterfield Care Centre offers residential aged care (including dementia-specific care), independent living, respite, and community aging services through the operation of Haddington Nursing Home and Millrace Hostel.

The Role

We are looking for Permanent Part Time, Full Time & Casual Enrolled Nurses who are passionate about a person-centered approach to care, to join our wonderful facility in Tenterfield, NSW (Near the QLD border). You must be dedicated to working and understanding the residential aged care environment and standards. We have a range of shifts available and a culture of high-level empathy and compassion for our residents.

What you will do

- Reporting to the RN, you will lead the care team
- Coordinate care in an allocated section of home and ensure care plan compliance throughout the shift
- Advising and allocating care staff
- Recognition and escalation of the deteriorating resident
- Provision of safe, high-quality care in accordance with the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Promote a positive resident experience through a resident-first approach
- Providing ADL care to residents
- Maintain documentation as per organisational standards

What you will bring

- Registration with the AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse is mandatory
- One year of experience as an Enrolled Nurse in a residential aged care setting is desirable (new entrants will be considered)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Hold NDIS Worker Checks (or willing to obtain)
- Be passionate about delivering a person-centered approach to care
